Donut Peach harvest begins mid-July and runs through mid-August. Donut peaches are a white flesh, low-acid variety originally discovered as a chance hybrid at Stark Brothers Nursery in Missouri in the early 80's. Little interest was in the peach was shown at the time but over the years consumer tastes changed and the donuts became mainstream in the early 2000's. Tiny's pink Donut box (donuts that are finally good for you!) is a hit every summer at Pike Place Market and is also regularly included in Tiny's CSA bag.
