Tiny's CSA Testimonials!

Hi Tiny's,

I want you to know that participating in the CSA this year has been a wonderful experience for me and my family. My son comes home from school  every Wednesday and asks "What's in the fruit bag?"  He has particularly loved the pluots. Even the family guinea pigs love Tiny's as they are frequent recipients apple, kale, carrot tops and other green trimmings.

Thanks for being part of this great program- I look forward to working with you next year.

Linda

To everybody at Tiny's!!

I just want to say that this is the first time I have ever participated in a CSA program.  I had some misgivings (will it be too much food, or too little? Will it be stuff my family won't eat?  How will the quality be since I can't choose it myself?) have been overcome by the outstanding fare.

The quality of the produce has been outstanding: fresh and ripe, clean, so carefully packed.  .  There is great variety and the recipes are really the saving grace when there is something I've never cooked or eaten before or something I haven't normally liked.

We've gobbled it all up and can't wait for the next bag, and for next year.

I modified one of your recipes in a way that made it now a household favorite.  I'll send it back one of these days in case you wish to use.

Loving it all,

Margaret M.

Hi Tiny's!,

Awesome.  I have a feeling the response will be quite good once the word is out that our building will have its own stop.

I think that the price is very reasonable for what you're offering and there are a lot of reasons to be interested in the CSA program.  For example, the attorneys that work in this building generally work extremely long hours and could really be helped by having healthy food delivered to the office each week.

Then there's support staff like me, and while the up-front cost is a bit more for us to manage, it still makes sense budget-wise.  Not to mention all the added benefits of supporting local farmers, reducing the fossil fuel/pesticide footprint, etc...

I was also really impressed with the sample newsletter, too.  It'll be great to not only get a variety of fruits and vegetables but suggestions on how to prepare them (how many people really know what to do with collard greens?  I didn't until recently, and now I love them.)

Anyway, glad to hear you're already getting responses. Talk to you soon --

Hi Carla,

Well, it's been no problems hosting it, and I have to say that one of the hightlights of my summer has been enjoying the amazing variety and quality of produce that you drop off every week - thank you for that!

I'll forward this to Chef Lois to see if she can fit you guys into the ordering wheelhouse.  If you want to send future sheets to her I'll take care of that tomorrow.

Thanks!!

Hi everyone,

It's with mixed feelings that I announce that our last Tiny's CSA delivery of the season has arrived on the 20th Floor.  It's been a great season of wonderful healthy and delicious organic fruits and vegetables and I for one will certainly miss my weekly bags until the program starts up again next summer.

Please join me in a big THANK YOU to Tiny's!!!

Happy Holidays to everyone!

Dear Carla and Heidi,

It was so great to be part of the CSA program.

I wanted to say thank you for samplers, which were great!  My massage therapist, running coach and trainer here in the area all loved theirs, and I sent the other 3 to my relatives in AZ, NJ and FL -- here's the first feedback from Mom.  So your red bags are definitely making the rounds!

BTW I also shared my favorite of the recipes, the Roasted Golden Beet, Goat Cheese and Arugula Salad, with many of my friends.  I found a couple of soup recipes, creamy potato, leek and kale soup, and another that used the mustard greens, carrots and onions with ground turkey that were really tasty if you would like me to send them along.

Sincerely,

Meg M.

I just want to say that we are SO happy with our CSA.  The fruit and veggies are beautiful and delicious.  This is our first year with Tiny's after having done 7 or 8 years with another farm on the west side of the mountains.  It is great to have so much great fruit we are just loving it.  Great job and keep up the good work!

Hi to all of you at Tiny's, this was my favorite CSA.

I had almost decided not to do a CSA again because, even though I believe it is a great idea, it really didn't meet my small family's needs.

But my finicky eaters really loved your cherries, peaches, apples, tomatoes and so much more.

Thank-you for all your hard work in the fields and in the business end of doing this.

I will be joining for 2009, and will send the checks and ap soon.

Warmly,

Taryn

Dear Tiny's,

I looked forward to Wednesdays to see what we received in our tote bag.  It was like a little bit of summer in a bag.  The fruit and vegetables were wonderful.  My husband and I would say “Have you tasted ____  so good in your life?

This is what it must have tasted in our grandparents time”  So thank you for a great 2008.  I did not mind the summer squashes, I even grew some myself.

I just grilled the extras, froze them and now when we eat them it is like a summer all over again.

The only thing I did not like was the dandelion greens it was too bitter for me but I am sure others like it. Anyways thanks again and I am looking forward to June 2009.
